Social strategy

Kevin has been asked on many occasions to produce samples of his creative and strategic efforts. This presentation was created with the theoretical goal of increasing the audience of FXX’s It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia leading up to its new season premiere. Included in this presentation are sample tweets and large-scale campaign ideas. Matching the shows irreverent and bold tone, Kevin sought to develop tweets that evoked current trends*, reaction images, and content that encouraged user participation. The four sample campaigns seek to touch on various mediums including twitter, organic video, and promotional video content.

*This presentation was created in the Summer of 2020, so some tweets may be less relevant of be referencing a recent event at the time

Instagram

One of Kevin's main responsibilities as a Communications Coordinator for SMU was to manage the organization's Instagram page. This included creating original content as well as compiling user generated content. The example on the left was posted during Biola's annual Missions Conference. Kevin created a campaign to encourage students to use #Witness2017. This campaign included showing social media posts before each main conference session. This best UGC was then posted at the end of each day to recap the events of that day and promote upcoming events.

Buzzfeed

Kevin's campaign for Missions Conference included more then Instagram, it also included Buzzfeed content. This blog, news and entertainment site is frequently visited by college students at Biola. One form of content posted on Buzzfeed is quizzes where users can answer fun questions and get an even funnier result. This quiz was created to promote the breakout session opportunities present at that years conference. However, the questions were developed to also highlight other events at the Conference as well as the featured band, Kings Kaleidoscope. This quiz was taken by over 30% of the student body and was seen by many more.

FACEbook

During his internship with OCTA, Kevin was tasked with finding interesting facts and content creation for Facebook and Twitter posts. The purpose was to inform drivers on interesting or relevant facts in relation to the 405 Improvement Project and Express Lanes. The post on the left is an example of one of those interesting facts Kevin found reading through industry reports.

Snapchat

During his time with SMU, Kevin created multiple Snapchat filters that were used to promote events on campus. He created all of these filters using Photoshop. The one seen to the right was created for the 2017 Missions Conference.
